Black Pepper Steak @ Victoria Station, Medan Damansara

Personally I think this is one of the best places in Klang Valley to have a hearty steak. I prefer to dine at tables tucked inside train cabins whenever we came here because I just love the unique setting. Service is great and the staff is very friendly with a smiling face from the moment you step into the restaurant until the end of your visit. I went to Ampang outlet before and I thought that the food served were the same.

Their popular dishes are US Rib Eye Steak and Black Pepper Steak. The huge portions leave little space for dessert but there is a good sweet selection for you to choose from.

Ikan Bakar "Grilled Fish", Jln Bellamy

Ikan bakar has always been my family favourite dish, especially my dad. My sister loves ikan terubok bakar while my dad prefer ikan pari bakar. We have been to a lot of places that served famous ikan bakar. But these places are far away from the city, mostly in Klang and Malacca. Therefore, for you guys who have been looking for delicious ikan bakar in the city, I will certainly suggest Jalan Bellamy nearby Istana Negara.
Many have asked me, what makes the ikan bakar tastes different and delicious? Well, some people like it plain but one thing for sure the gravy that was made of herbs and spices plays a major role that gives the ikan bakar its special taste and aroma.

Just for your info; here is a short history of Ikan Bakar Ramli in Jalan Bellamy (macam pantun 2 kerat pulak)...

Ikan Bakar Ramli
Jalan Bellamy, Kuala Lumpur

IN THE early 1980s, Ramli Yusof and his wife Kak Jat came from Pahang and started their stall on the roadside of Jalan Bellamy, behind Istana Negara. In 1984, when the Johore Sultan became king, he decided to build a proper place for the stall.

After construction was completed, two other stalls were set up. Ramli and Kak Jat serve grilled fish Pahang style. Their customers come from all over the Kelang Valley as well as from outstation.

Speciallty
Ikan bakar Ramli with more than eight types of fish (siakap, tilapia, terubok, pari sting ray), kembong, tenggiri, gerapu (garoupa), etc) and other seafood (squids, prawns and crabs)

Address: Gerai No 3, Jalan Bellamy, Bukit Petaling, 50480 Kuala Lumpur

Business hours: 7am to 5pm

Closed on: Sunday and first Saturday of the month

Budget:less than RM10 per person

Nasi Bojari, Madam Kwan's KLCC

I was introduced to this restaurant at the top floor of KLLC by my friend Nadia long time ago. If I'm not mistaken, at that time we decided to berbuka puasa together and Nadia simply pick this restaurant as it is the nearest place to our (Nad, Mai and I) residential area. The most famous and well-known food here is Nasi Bojari (RM19.00++). Based on Madam Kwan's calling card, they have two main outlets (KLCC & BANGSAR). Nowadays I heard they're already extending their 3rd restaurant and latest outlet at Midvalley.

Another popular dish served is Curry/Assam Fish Head. As I love meehoon soup so much, I decided to taste their version of meehoon soup the 2nd time around when I dine here with my hubby. The soup is very tasty and delicious. Starting from then onwards, I will always drop by to sample different food they have here just to satisfy my curious tastebuds. The price is moderate about RM20.00- RM30.00 per person. The food here is halal.

Chicken Chop or Chicken Curry, Cozy House, Great Eastern Mall

Dining at Cozy House, Ampang Park is like a short trip down memory lane for me. I remembered this place since I was a teenager years ago.My dad used to take us for lunch or dinner here as part of the family outing every weekend.Even now, at the end of my 20s..aiyaa..dah nak masuk 30lah, those memories will surely put a smile on my face whenever it cross my mind.

Oklah, lets get back to reality. Nowadays, Cozy House has opened a new outlet at Great Eastern Mall, Jalan Ampang (not far from Gleanegles Hospital). I have visited this new outlet several times with my friends and family. So far, their feedback were very good. I was praised by them for suggesting this restaurant. There are varieties of food here with extensive choice of menu you can choose from. The service is excellent with cosy atmosphere (of course..reflected by their name)a perfect place for family gathering on weekends.

However, remember to make a reservation for lunch or dinner(weekdays/weekend)to avoid disappointment. My favourite dishes are Chicken chop and Chicken curry with plain rice.Food is halal and delicious. Price is reasonable ranging from RM15.00 to RM 30.00 per person depending on your choice of menu.

Many of my friends got confused between Cozy Corner and Cozy House (both situated on the same row at Ampang Park). The truth both are not related at all although they have same logo, anyway I look forward to dine at Cozy Corner,Alamanda Putrajaya sometime in near future. I will post my future review plus pictures of both restaurants for you guys later.

Address: Lot 10,11&12,Level 3, Great Eastern Mall, 303 Jalan Ampang 50450 KL
Phone: 603 4257 8988
Directions: It's on the top floor of the mall.

Food served is halal. You don't have to worry about the price because its very reasonable compared to the quality food served here.

Ikan Masak Assam, Nyonya Kitchen, Plaza Shah Alam

I selalu juga makan di sini, the food is great especially for Nyonya cuisine lovers staying in Shah Alam. Usually we ordered "Ayam Pandan", marinated chicken meats wrapped in screwpine leaves and later deep fried in the hot boiling oil. Yummy...my hubby loves chicken and he said thumb-ups for this one.

If you want to try something different, my suggestion will be "Ayam Pong Tay", its a stewed chicken, potatoes, mushrooms in fermented black soybean.

But one thing that you shouldn't miss is their "Ikan Garem Assam", which is a fresh fish meat cooked with spicy tamarind gray and flavoured with lemongrass and finally.... the sweet pineapple slices in it. Masak asam pedas nyonya ni memang sedap, boleh kecur air liur kita dibuatnya. Di atas ni I masukkan sekali gambar makanan yang ada di sini. Nanti I akan ke sana and I will try to post the latest picture of their foods.
