Big Apple Donuts & Coffee, The Gardens (Midvalley)

Finally the day has arrived when we have options to choose either Dunkin Donuts, Big Apple Donuts or JCo which the 2nd & 3rd can be found in most big shopping malls such as Curve, Midvalley, Sunway, Pavilion, 1utama and even in Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

Not that I'm a big fan of donuts but I surely can't resist the temptation of a fluffy doughnut with decorative toppings. I believe that is what Big Apple has to offer. Other than the owner came back to M'sia equipped with modern technology in the making of donuts, he also brought back with him new recipes from New York City. With such a good review in papers, magazines and bloggers. I was excited to try out their doughnuts and got the chance when we passed by their outlet at Gardens, Midvalley on Sunday. Lucky for me, the queue was short and within minutes I already bought 6 different flavors of doughnuts with interesting names and colourful toppings.

There are doughnuts with 17 different toppings to choose from at the outlet and there are about 20 to 30 flavours that have not been launched yet. Both the white and dark chocolate used for the toppings are from Belgium.

Each doughnut costs RM2 but half a dozen is priced at RM9.50 while a dozen goes for RM17.00. The Witnut comes with a peanut butter filling and a white chocolate topping.
I love the chocolate topping but forgot its name.

Mango Tango, which is topped with mango jam and cream.

Prepared fresh everyday ...the open kitchen allows customers to see doughnuts in the making. With the right ingredients and frying time, their doughnuts are fluffy and not oily.
